Sixteen Years Later, Pahlmeyer Unveils the Wayfarer Vineyard

 Having purchased the 30-acre Wayfarer plot 16 years ago, vintner Jayson Pahlmeyer will release the first estate grown wines under the Wayfarer label this fall, per company statement. One chardonnay and three pinot noirs will hit the market in the fall: Wayfarer Vineyard chardonnay retailing for $80, Wayfarer Vineyard pinot noir, retailing for $90; and Wayfarer Golden Mean pinot noir will retail for $115. The wines will be available in October by mailing list allocation at and in select markets in September, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Texas and Florida.
